  • Daisuke Katano

    Daisuke KatanoYCP Japan Managing Director

    Daisuke Katano manages YCP Japan, which provides management services to a wide range of companies in various fields. He also works on recruiting, training, and new business development at YCP.

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Daisuke worked at Boston Consulting Group, where he was involved in business strategic planning and execution for domestic and international clients. He also provided consulting services to various retail and telecom/media companies with business development, M&A advisory as well as formulation of sales strategies. In addition to his experience at BCG, Daisuke also worked at Dream Incubator, where he made investments in and supported start-up companies. Daisuke joined YCP Group in 2014.

    Daisuke received his B.S. in Engineering from Tokyo University.

  • Yuji Matsugano

    Yuji MatsuganoYCP Japan Managing Director

    Yuji Matsugano has been involved in business strategy developments and management coaching service in various industries and is also in charge of management service deal sourcing activities in Japan.

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Yuji worked at Oracle Corporation in the Asia-Pacific Marketing Division, where he was involved in several M&A deals and led the process of their PMIs. He also worked at ICMG, where he was in charge of various projects, corporate transformations, turnarounds and new business developments in various industries such as IT, Pharmaceuticals, Precision Machinery, Semiconductors and Building materials for more than 10 years. He was also the internal president of the company's reorganization service in ICMG and a board member of IWNC Co., Ltd, its subsidiary. Yuji joined YCP Group in 2015.

    Yuji received his B.A. in Economics from Keio University.

  • Yukio Nishiguchi

    Yukio NishiguchiYCP Product Managing Director

    Yukio Nishiguchi has been engaged in marketing advisory, new business development, and operations restructuring for our portfolio companies and now, as CEO of YCP Product, is responsible for the management of natural & organic brands, such as mom & baby skin care products and natural jam/dip/dressing products.

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Yukio worked at P&G, where he specialized in product development, marketing strategy, and promotion development for several brands. Not only has Yukio led strategic planning for existing brands, he also led the launch of new brands. After his career at P&G Japan, he joined a group company of Recruit Holdings Inc. as a founding member, where he supported new business development. Yukio joined YCP Group in 2013.

    Yukio received his B.S. and master's in Engineering from Kyoto University.

  • Junnosuke Isshiki

    Junnosuke Isshiki

    Junnosuke Isshiki has been taking a leading role in the entertainment industry, responsible for various financial, legal, and business operations while working on global and organizational strategic initiatives. Junnosuke is also responsible for launching new business models in medical/fashion/education industries.

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Junnosuke was involved in product development, marketing strategy planning, promotion development and retail marketing for several hair care brands at P&G Japan. He subsequently worked in P&G Singapore for a global hair care brand. Junnosuke joined YCP Group in 2013.

    Junnosuke received his B.S. in Agriculture and master's in Agricultural and Life Sciences from Tokyo University.

  • Shinya Watari

    Shinya WatariYCP Lifemate Managing Director

    Shinya Watari has been engaged in mid-long term business strategy development in various industries and now, as CEO of YCP Lifemate, is responsible for the management of our veterinary hospital group and the development and execution of new businesses related to the pet industry.

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Shinya worked for the Boston Consulting Group, and was involved in corporate strategy planning, new business development, and global PMI mainly in healthcare practice. Shinya joined YCP Group in 2014.

    Shinya received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at University of Tokyo, and earned his master's in comparative pathology from University of California, Davis.

  • Yuji Suzuki

    Yuji Suzuki

    Yuji Suzuki is responsible for new business development, financial, legal and corporate planning, as well as fund and investment structuring. Yuji founded and manages YCP Bangkok office and was in charge of management services and new business development in Thailand. Since 2016, Yuji works for YCP Japan's investment and management services, he is also responsible for operation of YCP Japan.

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Yuji was at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. At Goldman Sachs, he worked in the money markets and the foreign exchange market, and as a portfolio manager, he was also involved in risk management and asset class optimization of clients' portfolios. Yuji joined YCP Group in 2012.

    Yuji received his B.S. in Agriculture and earned his master's in Agricultural and Life Sciences from Tokyo University.

  • Takanori Ono

    Takanori Ono

    Takanori Ono has been involved in mid-long term business strategy development, growth strategy development, and business planning division support in electric and IT industries. He is also in charge of medical media start-up in YCP.

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Takanori Ono was at Cisco Systems, Inc., where he was involved in solving a network problem with its headquarters in the U.S., and provided engineering consulting services. In addition to his experience at Cisco Systems, Inc., he also worked at KPMG where he was involved in the planning of cyber security strategy, reforming system risk management, and supporting the decision making of a large-scale project for Japanese major financial institutions. Takanori joined YCP Group in 2015.

    Takanori received his B.S. in computer science and engineering from Waseda University.

  • Hiroki Yokoyama

    Hiroki Yokoyama

    Hiroki Yokoyama has led and provided hands-on support services in areas such as new business development, launch of new companies, executing M&As, and PMI operations in the entertainment, food & beverages, merchandising and event planning industries as an executive officer. He is also in charge of YCP investment deal sourcing in Japan.

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Hiroki was with Nippon Television Network (NTV). At NTV, Hiroki managed negotiations with over 200 clients as he worked with various advertisement agencies and clients of NTV, and was in charge of spot sales department. Hiroki joined YCP Group in 2012.

    Hiroki received his B.A. in science and engineering from Waseda University.

    Daisuke FujiokaCPA

    Daisuke Fujioka is responsible for financing and IPOs for start-ups, matching big companies and start-ups to execute M&As, and financial due diligence services.

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Daisuke was at Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC, where he was engaged in IPO support services for start-ups, and was also involved in auditing and consulting services for IT (cosmetics e-commerce, luxury coupon site, smartphone advertisements, systems development), food, manufacturing (plastic containers), and real estate development businesses. Daisuke joined YCP Group in 2014.

    Daisuke received his B.A. in Economics from Keio University.

  • Takahiro Ishizaki

    Takahiro Ishizaki

    Takahiro Ishizaki has been involved in mid-long term business strategy development and M&A strategy development mainly in resort/manufacturing/retail service industries and also worked on business due diligence projects for YCP and clients' investment deals.

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Takahiro Ishizaki worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was involved in business recovery services for biotech firms, consumer electronics manufacturers, and the livestock industry. In addition to his experience at PwC, Takahiro also worked at ICMG Co., Ltd. where he played a role of a catalyst in the building of innovation ecosystems within a multinational conglomerate and a leading beverage company. Takahiro joined YCP Group in 2015.

    Takahiro received his LL.B from Waseda University.

  • Tatsuichiro Nishimura

    Tatsuichiro Nishimura

    Tatsuichiro Nishimura has been engaged in restructuring business management systems in the telecom industry and also worked on YCP's education business expansion.

    Prior to joining YCP Japan, Tatsu Nishimura was at METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), where he specialized in energy policy and public finance. He supported Japanese firms for acquiring oil and gas upstream assets abroad and was responsible for negotiations with foreign governments and firms, as well as conducting due diligence when government support was provided (e.g. capital investment, loan guarantees) to such acquisitions. He was also involved in the development of new trade insurance products provided through NEXI. Tatsu joined YCP Group in 2015.

    Tatsu holds an MBA degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he graduated with Honors in 2013.

  • Keita Yanagida

    Keita Yanagida

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Keita Yanagida was at JPMorgan, where he was involved in quantitative research analysis of equity derivatives in both Tokyo and Hong Kong offices. Leveraging on his financial engineering expertise, he was responsible for development of mark-to-market valuation modeling of complex derivative products, as well as development and execution of risk management strategies for multi-billion dollar portfolios traded across the world. Keita joined YCP Group in 2015.

    Keita received his B.S and M.S in Engineering from Tokyo University.

  • Erina Koyama

    Erina Koyama

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Erina Koyama was at Accenture, where she was involved in new business development, marketing strategic planning, sales strategic planning, organization/human resources system planning, and introduced new systems for a wide range of industries; including communication, financial, manufacturing, and public institutions. Erina joined YCP Group in 2015.

    Erina received her B.A. in Economics from Keio University.

  • Shuichiro Choshi

    Shuichiro Choshi

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Shuichiro Choshi was at Recruit Holdings, where he was involved in start-up investment activities across the globe including Europe, Russia, Southeast Asia, India, China and Japan. Previously, he was responsible for business development and sales in the R&D department, and developed new products such as PPC for small-to-mid sized companies. Shuichiro joined YCP Group in 2015.

    Shuichiro received his B.A. in Literature from Tokyo University.

  • Yuki Tsutsumi

    Yuki Tsutsumi

    Yuki Tsutsumi started his carrier in P&G as a marketer. He developed entire brand strategy, local promotion for Japan, Asia and Global male grooming products, changing location from Japan to Singapore and to Geneva. Yuki also worked for mid hire recruiting department in Recruit Holdings. He was responsible for rebranding activities as well as strategy development/execution of recruiting top engineer and new business department etc. Yuki joined YCP Japan in 2016.

    Yuki received his B.S. in Psychology from Tokyo University.

  • Masahiro Haku

    Masahiro Haku

    Prior to joining YCP Group in 2016, Masahiro Haku worked at A.T.Kearney, where he was involved in business strategic planning and execution for domestic and international clients. He also provided consulting services to various retail companies with business development. In addition to his experience at A.T.Kearney, Masahiro also worked at Suntory, where he engaged in sales and marketing of beverage.

    Masahiro received his B.S. in in Economics from Tokyo University.

  • Kazuaki Endo

    Kazuaki Endo

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Kazuaki Endo was at Accenture, where he provided IT related consulting services, including introducing the ERP system, IT strategic planning, and IT outsourcing for a wide range of industries such as advanced technology, public services, and logistics. Kazuaki joined YCP Group in 2014.

    Kazuaki received his B.S. in Science and Technology at Keio University.

    Nobuhiko Ochiai

    Nobuhiko Ochiai joined YCP Group as his first career in 2014.

    Nobuhiko received his B.Sci and Master's in Engineering from Tokyo University.

  • Kei Hasegawai

    Kei Hasegawa

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Kei Hasegawa worked at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Japan, where he was involved in auditing services for comprehensive financial groups. In addition to his experience at Deloitte, Kei also worked at an energy-related company, where he launched a new business and an overseas subsidiary while managing M&A transactions. Kei joined YCP Group in 2015.

    Kei received his B.A. in Economics from Waseda University.

  • Sato Jun

    Jun Sato

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Jun Sato was at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Japan and Deloitte &Touche LLP in Seattle, where he was engaged in IPO support services for start-ups, financial due diligence, audit, accounting consulting and research services for overseas expansion. He mainly served clients in the IT industries during his time in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, and manufacturing and IT companies at Deloitte&Touche LLP. Jun joined YCP Group in 2015.

    Jun received his B.A. in Economics from Tokyo University.

  • Yuto Ueda

    Yuto Ueda

    Yuto Ueda joined YCP Group in 2016. He has engaged in business due diligence on investment, consulting support on media company.
    He was also involved in YCP Dining, where he managed PMI, personal management and labor relation, marketing strategies.

    Yuto received his B.Sci and Master's in Engineering from the University of Tokyo.

  • Ryushu Li

    Ryushu Li

    Ryushu Li has been involved in a foreign expansion project of a web venture company in Hong Kong and supervise overall business operation/marketing/strategic planning of its Japan branch.

    After joining YCP in 2016, Ryushu experienced several consulting/due diligence projects in Retail/Logistics/Finance/IT companies in Japan.

    Ryushu received his B.A. in Commerce from Waseda University.

  • Hiroki Kato

    Hiroki Kato

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Hiroki Kato worked at Sumitomo Corporation, where he specialized in energy investment and finance. He was involved in the supervising and marketing of shale gas upstream assets in US. He was also in charge of LNG business development from strategic planning to execution. He joined YCP in 2016.

    Hiroki received his B.A. in Economics from Tokyo University.

  • Manabu Nagoshi

    Manabu Nagoshi

    Prior to joining YCP Group, Manabu Nagoshi worked at Boston Consulting Group, where he provided consulting services with corporate vision / strategy / marketing strategy planning, new business development, as well as execution support like operation optimization, procurement optimization to various retail, infrastructure, telecom, media companies.
    In addition, Manabu was the head of office for strategy planning and new business development at a start-up company. Manabu also worked as an engineer at Honda R&D center, where he was involved in new technology development as a project reader. Manabu joined YCP Group in 2016.

    Manabu received his B.S. and master's in Engineering from Tokyo University.
