Market Diversification & ESG Compliance: Vietnam’s Strategy Amid U.S.-China Tensions

Yuichi is our YCP Partner based in Vietnam. He has a proven track record of providing management consulting support and M&A support mainly to Japanese and Chinese companies. In the area of management consulting, he has provided a wide range of support, including, but not limited to, business strategy development, market entry strategy development, market competition research, process improvement, and organizational optimization. For M&A support, he has been involved in a wide range of projects, including financial advisory, business due diligence, pre-closing, and PMO in pre-closing and PMI. Prior to joining the YCP Group, he was selected as a member of GE’s Leadership Program (EEDP), where he led new businesses from start-up to sale.

Ha is a Director at the Vietnam office of YCP, with over 15 years of experience in strategy consulting and investment advisory across ASEAN. She is a seasoned professional with deep expertise in supporting private and public organizations on market assessment, market entry strategy, due diligence, business negotiation, and site selection. Her client portfolio spans a wide range of industries, including automotive, electronics, chemicals, FMCG, garments and textiles, among others. Prior to joining YCP, Ha led procurement transformation at one of Vietnam’s top agribusinesses and was responsible for evaluating new business concepts for a premium real estate developer. She holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Stockholm University (Sweden) and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Economics from Foreign Trade University (Vietnam).

Chi is a Director at YCP’s Vietnam office. She has nearly 10 years of experience in providing advisory on cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, value chain, market research, market entry and growth strategy. Her expertise spans end-to-end project delivery in Southeast Asia, covering supply chain optimization, partner and target search, feasibility studies, due diligence, and investment plan evaluations. Prior to YCP, she was a co-founder of a market intelligence boutique and had worked with KPMG Vietnam and PwC Vietnam. She holds a bachelor’s in international business economics from Foreign Trade University, Vietnam.

MSc. Eng. Nguyen Dinh Quyen has 17 years of experience managing key projects in investment, sustainable development, and ESG across multinational firms from Japan (Shogakukan Shueisha Productions), the US (Franklin Capital), South Korea (Daekyo, Pantos Holdings), and in Vietnam with Sovico Group (parent company of Vietjet, HDBank, Phu Long). He is PMP and AMP certified and has completed UNITAR and UNSSC training in sustainable infrastructure, carbon accounting, and green economy. Currently, he is the founder and senior ESG consultant of ESG Education & Business, advising on GHG accounting, LCA, EPD, Net Zero, and ESG reporting for Vietnamese corporates and industrial zones. He also cofounded ESG Investment and serves as senior advisor for the ESG & Sustainability Alliance (ESGA) and the Vietnam Circular Supply Chain Alliance (VCSCA).

Ms. Linh is currently leading transaction banking business at VPBank, covering Trade and supply chain financing, Cash and payment solutions as well as active leader in promoting ESG financing in both trade and credit activities. She has 20 years of extensive experiences in finance and banking industry, hold various positions in Corporate Banking and Transaction Banking. Before joining VPBank, she has spent 16 years in corporate banking and structured financing at HSBC Vietnam. Her sectors of expertise are Energy, Telecommunications, and green and sustainable financing.
