TOKYO, May 2026 – YCP Japan Co., Ltd. (“YCP Japan”) has launched a public call for participants for the feasibility study component of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries’ (MAFF) “Commissioned Project for Supporting Overseas Expansion of Decarbonization Technologies in the Agricultural Sector.”
The initiative supports the international deployment of Japanese agricultural decarbonization technologies under MAFF’s “Midori Infinity” framework, with the aim of promoting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction and carbon removals through mechanisms such as the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
As the program secretariat, YCP Japan — leveraging expertise from its Sustainability Solutions Division (SSD) — will provide hands-on support to selected companies throughout the FS process. This includes support for local market assessments, stakeholder coordination, GHG reduction quantification and MRV design, as well as development support for JCM methodologies and Project Idea Notes (PINs).
