The client needed to advance its sustainability transformation by defining ESG priorities, implementing initiatives across divisions, measuring emissions, setting net-zero targets, and strengthening sustainability leadership.

Approach

YCP Renoir supported the client through a multi-phase sustainability transformation, beginning with stakeholder engagement, internal workshops, and value chain mapping to identify key ESG issues. The team developed strategic pillars, objectives, initiatives, and indicators, then established a Transformation Management Office to oversee implementation across the organization.

YCP Renoir also supported key climate and value chain workstreams, including a baseline GHG inventory across material Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, SBTi-validated near-term and net-zero targets, decarbonization planning, TCFD and CDP reporting, supplier ESG assessments, emissions baseline updates after an acquisition, and renewed ESG rating and certification efforts.

Engagement ROI

The engagement helped the client achieve an MSCI AAA ESG rating, implement 14 sustainability initiatives, develop 20+ programs, and produce 5 plans, 3 policies, and 10 reports. Later phases delivered SBTi-validated net-zero targets, TCFD and CDP reports, 63 Tier-1 suppliers mapped across 87% of procurement spend, a renewed MSCI AAA rating with a perfect 10/10 industry score, and global ESG-1000 certification.
